Privacy notice for diners
Last updated 27 October 2026. Pending legal review.
Tapdaro is run by Abizvo Inc., Scarborough, Ontario, Canada. When you order, two parties hold your information: the restaurant, which makes and sells your food, and Abizvo, which runs Tapdaro and the software the restaurant uses.
What we collect
- Your order — the dishes, choices and notes, the time, and the restaurant.
- How to reach you — your name and phone number, and your e-mail if you give one or sign in.
- An account, only if you make one — your e-mail address and the orders placed while signed in. Accounts are optional; you can always order without one.
- Payment — if you pay online, your card is entered on Stripe's page for the restaurant's own Stripe account. We receive the result and the last four digits, never the full card number.
- Location, only if you tap "Use my location" — your position, rounded to about 100 metres, sorts restaurants nearest first. It is used for that search and not stored with your order. The browser remembers that you said yes, so the next visit can sort the same way; you can withdraw it in your browser's site settings.
- What you send us — support messages, price reports and the photos you attach, catering requests and the delivery address they need.
- Missed pickups — if a restaurant records that nobody came for an order, the phone number on that order is kept with the record for 180 days (see below).
- Technical data — sign-in and security logs, and on our public pages website analytics unless you opt out (see Your Privacy Choices; Global Privacy Control is honoured).
Who receives it
- The restaurant you order from — your order, name, phone, e-mail if given, and payment status, so it can make the order, reach you and keep its own sales records. The restaurant's use of it is governed by the restaurant's own practices.
- Stripe — card payments, as the restaurant's payment processor.
- Google — the map on a restaurant page and the lookup that turns a place you type into a position.
- Our e-mail provider — your sign-in codes and order e-mails.
We do not sell your personal information, do not share it for cross-context behavioural or targeted advertising, and do not send you marketing.
Missed pickups
When a restaurant records that an order was not picked up, your next orders on Tapdaro — at any restaurant, for 180 days — must be paid online when you place them. This is the only effect. It is keyed by the phone number on the order, kept for 180 days and then no longer used. A person at Abizvo reviews any appeal; e-mail support@abizvo.com with your order number. Deleting your account does not remove a missed-pickup record; ask us to and we will review it.
How long we keep it
Orders are the restaurant's sales records and are kept as long as the restaurant keeps its books. Deleting your Tapdaro account removes the account, its sign-in codes and sessions, and unlinks your past orders from it; the orders themselves stay with the restaurants that sold them.
Your rights
Wherever you live, you can ask to see, correct or delete what Tapdaro holds about you. In Canada this is under PIPEDA and provincial law. Residents of California and other US states with privacy laws also have the right to know, delete and correct, to opt out of sale and sharing (we do neither), to limit use of sensitive information (we use none beyond your order), to appeal a refusal, and not to be treated differently for using these rights.
Signed in, you can delete your account yourself under Your account. For anything else, e-mail support@abizvo.com or call 1 (877) 224-9853. We confirm it is you through the e-mail or phone number on your orders and reply within 30 days (45 days for US state-law requests). For information a restaurant holds in its own records, we pass your request to that restaurant.
Children
Tapdaro is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information. Accounts are for people 16 and over. If a child has given us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Where it is held
Tapdaro's data is stored in Canada. If you order from the United States, your information is transferred to Canada. Stripe and Google may process it in other countries.
Abizvo's full privacy policy covers the businesses that use Abizvo. Ordering is also subject to the diner terms.
